Treatment Philosophy
My practice integrates biological psychiatry, psychotherapy, and lifestyle medicine. In many cases I work in conjunction with another psychotherapist or members of a patient's broader care team.
Medications are used thoughtfully and only when needed. They can be invaluable when therapy and lifestyle changes alone aren't enough — or when those changes cannot take hold without support. While some situations call for immediate intervention, medications are more often a tool to help patients engage fully in the work of healing.
A core value of my practice is patient autonomy. Every individual deserves to make informed decisions about their care. My role is to provide clear, balanced information about risks, benefits, and alternatives so each patient feels empowered to choose a course of treatment that reflects their own values and goals.
In my practice, patients are seen as individuals — not diagnoses. While diagnostic clarity informs evidence-based treatment recommendations, psychological formulations offer a more nuanced understanding of one's struggles and a broader view of the paths to health.
